We offer two types of dog teams. One is a pro-active dog which is used to search areas and the other a passive dog which can be used to search people. Both types of dog are non-aggressive in both temperament and appearance. They are trained to indicate to their handler the presence of all the main prohibited drug groups. We consider our pro-active and passive drugs dog teams to be one of the most experienced and successful teams currently operating within the private sector. Our teams have worked alongside police and government agencies in highly successful joint operations.
In addition all our handlers are trained in drug awareness, drugs and licensing law, evidence handling and personal safety working nationwide. Our handlers have the benefit of working a wide variety of venues and working with a broad range of clientele such as licensed premises, venues and the NHS. This also broadens their insight and awareness of different trends and circumstances they may find themselves dealing with.
Our search teams may be used overtly with handlers in uniform to provide a high profile visual deterrent or where appropriate, low key/covert searches may be undertaken to provide the client with either positive or negative information depending on the results of the search.
Before beginning any contract or search, we would look to arrange with the client a set of laid down procedures and carry out a full risk assessment of the task area. This ensures that the dog team can work safely and effectively, ensuring that the client understands what the dog team is capable of, how the dog team works and thus ensuring a smooth operation that will always reflect well on the client’s business interests.
