Due to our work at many different mental health units, we see a variety of different methods employed to smuggle and store prohibited items. Using this information and past search experience Corporate Search has now devised a basic physical search training package. This covers basic search techniques, drug and associated article recognition and refresher training on prohibited items. The course is designed to help staff conduct searches safely and effectively whilst complying with legislation and protocols. 

Searching can be an embarrassing procedure for both staff and patients. The training is designed to give staff confidence in what they are doing and the skills to be able to carry out a search in the most respectful and sensitive way for the patient. 

The basic search training content is tailored to each hospital's protocols and requirements.
